So we need to elect a leader out of the four of us here. Anyone have nominations?

I get anxiety when it comes to submitting things on a deadline and I'm worried I'd submit something too early y'know what I mean?

So the best way to win battleship is to have the ships far from each other and two attack in a checkerboard formation.

A3,A4 for 2 ship
E3,F3,G3 for 3 ship
C5,D5,E5,F5 for 4 ship

Are we good with that?

idk I'm trying to google "how to win at battleship" and am finding confusing algorithms... but I feel like this isn't really technically battleship, is it?

Well we can also diagonal, which isn't battleship legal. Do you guys feel we should have diagonal ships?

you sound like you know what you're doing, Im okay with it.

Elaborate on the checkerboard: what should we do with our guesses?

What's our attack strategy?

Imagine the board is similar to a checkerboard: white and black tiles. Only attack one type of tile and you'll hit more often than random guesses. So I can do C3 and then E5.

So we aren't putting anything in rows 6 and 7?

okay!
though with the diagonal that might complicate things... we could potentially miss a whole ship y'know?

Correct. Unpredictable. It's a crapshoot in any case.

Please get together your final board placement, and diagonals are legal here.

if we say a tile do we sink our own ship too?

like if we have something on C5 and they have something on C5 if we say C5 do we hit both ships?
